Professor of the Universidade Portucalense (UPT), at the Department of Architecture and Multimedia Gallaecia, and Researcher in the UPT branch of CIAUD, in urbanism and planning.
PhD in 2011 under the program Peripheries, Sustainability and Urban Vitality, at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Master in Contemporary Architectural Culture and Modern Society Building, from the Technical University of Lisbon, and Architect from the University of Porto.
Principal researcher of the project “MetroPoLis. Lisbon and Porto shared metropolis. Sustainable tourism beyond city center” (CIAUD, 2024), and researcher of “Siza Atlas, filling the gaps for World Heritage” (FCT, 2022-24), “3D Past” (Creative Europe, 2017-21), “Think Nature” (EU, 2019) and the “Economic Studies for the Lisbon Metropolitan Area Regional Plan” (CCDR-LVT, 2009-10).
Author of books and several publications in international scientific journals concerning Urban and Regional Studies. Awarded by the project Urban Logic, in the Smart Cities ideas competition, from Interreg European program Portugal – Spain Cologistics (2022).
Member of the Board in the Portuguese Urban Planners Association (AUP, 2012-16) and Portuguese Association of Architects (OA, 2023-… and 2017-20). President of INTBAU Portugal General Assembly and Member of the National Council on Environment and Sustainable Development (CNADS).
